Walking in Faith

Wow I cannot believe that I have gone a whole five months without writing a blog post. So many things have happened from then and now and I want to write about every high and low that has happened. But today I want to write about something that I think is so hard for all of us to do no matter where we are in our faith.

There comes a point in our life where we are praying, asking, seeking and doing all the things to get an answer from God. Even when you have that gut feeling of what to do - it seems like all odds are against you. What do you do then? Recently I felt God telling me "Just trust me" and I was like "Trust you where? Trust you and go in this direction, or trust you and go the opposite direction" I found myself banging my head against the same wall, with blocks in both directions.

I am sure you have had moments like that also. Where you don't know if you should turn right or left. Turning both ways has its blocks and you have every desire to take the easy way out. There has to come a point where you stop praying for that clear direct answer, and you step out in faith. How much more would God be pleased if you stepped out in that faith regardless of your fears, blocks, anxiety...

God gives us wisdom, and through that wisdom we are able to discern what is right and what is worth not fighting for. But we are going to make mistakes regardless of where we are. I want to remind you that even through your mistakes, God can use those too to redirect you where you need to be. Stepping out in fear and faith was the hardest thing I did. I had a literal mental breakdown because I didn't know what to do. But I kept feeling him say "Just trust me" and that is what I did.

Don't be scared of the turnout, don't be scared of the blocks. Allow God to be in everything you do and he will allow all things to work together for his good and your life. As long we keep our eyes on him through our decisions there is no way we can fail. If God is for us, who can be against us? Nothing can steer us away from Gods plans for our lives. I pray that if you are reading this and you are going through a tough decision.. I encourage you to step out in faith. Whatever the insecurities, whatever the fears, allow God to do his thing regardless of what you feel or see. Remember that we have an enemy in this world, prowling his next attack. Preparing to make you doubt God's power. Do not let him win what God has for you. Allow yourself to surrender to God, in all your ways.

May God be the light on your path. The navigation of your life. The rock you can lean on through all uncertainties.
